Apollo & Ophelia || Escapism

ophelia-anne:

Ophelia was trying to concentrate on her novel. For some reason she couldn’t make out the words printed across the pages even though she practically knew them by heart. The words were blurry and wavered back and forth. Still though the red head tried to focus through the obscurity to read Beatrice’s lines. She got to the end of the page before realizing she hadn’t actually read what was there. Frustrated with herself she slammed the book shut and pulled her legs up to rest her head on her knees. Ophelia tried to deny the obvious, that she was crying and couldn’t escape into her books this time.

She breathed in deeply and tried to think rationally, but it didn’t work. That should have been obvious though since she’d been reading Much Ado About Nothing and hadn’t cracked a single smile. Reaching up she brushed away the tears that still clung to her cheeks and sat on the stone bench in silence. Hardly anyone walked down the fifth floor cooridor, and so it was usually where she dissapeared to whenever she was upset. She hadn’t needed to visit for a while though, and was mad that she’d let herself let go today. Normally she’d sit and read and imagine a world that didn’t have witches or wizards. The sort of world she grew up in really. Today though her escapism plans had failed and so here she was drying her eyes in an abandoned hall.

She’d been too busy thinking about what had lead up to this to pay attention to the footsteps coming down the hall. Usually it was just ghost trying to get her away from “their” hall. It only when the voice spoke up that  Ophelia realized she wasn’t the only living person in the hall. She lifted her head to look up at the familiar voice that had said her name and sighed. “Hello Apollo. What brings you up here?” She asked in a pleasant voice while rubbing at her eyes to remove the evidence. Having anyone see her upset was not something Ophelia liked to have happen because then they worried, fretted, and generally just made a big fuss over nothing. “Don’t mind me. I was just reading.” She lied and smiled up at the Gryffindor hoping he’d bye into it.

He had absolutely no idea where he was heading, it was simply one of those days in which he had nothing to do and so after eating lunch in the Great Hall, the boy simply found himself wondering around the castle having no classes but Potions and the class had already passed before lunch, leaving him with nothing to do. Sure, the boy could always go and annoy Artemis and he did it more the enough, though they were best friends, Apollo knew that the two of them needed a break from each other every now and then as both in Hogwarts and out they were living at the same house and there was a limit to just how much time you can spend with one person before starting to hate him and the last thing that the Gryffindor ever wanted to do was to hate his twin sister.

The quiet around him ended up stealing his attention, he usually kept away from the more quiet area as he simply had nothing to do there unless he had some girl with him, but no Apollo Ross was alone at the moment and so hanging out in a quiet abounded part of the castle was of no help to him at the moment. With a sigh, he continued forward, knowing that eventually he will get back to the more popular and crowded areas of the castle as Merlin knew that there was enough of those. Yet, he had found himself stopping as he noticed the familiar redhead sitting on the stone bunch, his blue eyes widen as he notice something glittering on her cheeks and came to the conclusion that the girl was crying.

A big part of him told him to turn away and run before she noticed him, Apollo had no idea how to deal with crying girls, it was no where near his comfort zone. The Gryffindor dealt with smiling, flirty, sometimes drunken girls but never crying. Merlin, he will even consider running if it was Artemis crying - well, no he would have find out why his sister was crying first and then go to punch someone. Still, Apollo did not deal with crying girls and yet he cared for his friend. ‘Damn,’ he thought as he resumed walking her way. “Ophelia,” he called her name and she looked up at him. “Good question, had nothing to do and wondered around,” he answered her question and moved to sit down next to her. “Sure, you’re okay?” he asked, nudging her should slightly. “Ah, pretty Phe?”

Lindsey & Apollo || Fly With Me

Swinging his broomstick over his shoulder, Apollo looked up at the burning sun above him as there was a soft wind blowing as well, the weather was perfect for a Quidditch practice and that was exactly what the blue eyed boy needed. No, it wasn’t a full team practice for the Gryffindors but rather a one on one kind of practice for the pretty Captain Portis and himself, one of Apollo’s many ways to spend more time alone with her and luckily the girl had yet to seem to have problem with it. But after knowing him for seven years, the boy had little doubt that Lindsey wasn’t already used to him and his antics, his charm like he was more likely to call it.

Moving his hand through his hair, Apollo smirked to himself and began walking toward the Quidditch Pitch. It was only their fifth day back at Hogwarts but for his horror and surprise it will be the first time that he will step onto the pitch since the year began, he at least took comfort at his company for the day and the fact that when Quidditch season will open, he will basically live there with all the team practice and private practice that was sure to happen. Sure, team work was important in Quidditch and so team practices were sure to be what will take most of his time, but the Gryffindor had no problem to spend some private practice with Lindsey as he had a feeling that those will be much more interesting than the others. More productive even.

When Apollo walked into the pitch he was little surprise that it was empty, not that it was a bad thing but he either expected Lindsey to already be there or for someone else to decide and use the pitch in the lovely and sunny day. With a shrug, Apollo placed his broom next to the broom closet and went to bring the cast that held the Bludgers and Quaffles that were used during most team practice, usually there will be two people bringing it up but being the gentleman he was, Apollo had no intention to let Lindsey try and help it with, instead he half dragged it into the Quidditch because even though he was strong enough to pick it up the boy couldn’t risk dropping it on his feet by mistake, that won’t look good at all. When he turned back to look at the pitch, he could see the pretty Captain walking toward him, right on time for their private practice.

“Hey there, Captain,” he smirked and winked at her once she was only a few steps away from him. “Had a good morning, pretty?” he asked, the glint in his blue eyes there as it always was whenever he talked, or more likely began flirting with any girl. Apollo himself had not seen Lindsey at breakfast that morning, probably since he had skipped it for a little bit more sleep and ended up going to grab something from the Kitchens, the house-elves already used to him, It had been six years after all.

Yo, everyone!

lindseyportis:

A private practice sounds good. I’ll see you at the field in 10 then?

Sounds like a plan, Pretty Captain

Yo, everyone!

lindseyportis:

That will require me to show you on the field.

So how about a private practice for you and I so that you won’t have any worries about us winning the cup?
